Title: 16' classic pilothouse runabout
Description: Mary H is a new 16 ft 7 in LOA, 6'2" beam, 8" draft, 1350 lbs displacement fiberglass over wood (BS1088 Lloyd's certified okume marine ply) classic pilothouse runabout powered with a 50 HP Mariner 4 stroke outboard; her two opening and two fixed windows are Diamond Sea-Glaze military spec. She can be towed on her new Karavan trailer by as small a vehicle as a Mazda Miata. She was built in 2008 by Stanard Boat Works (in business since 1977). She cruises comfortably at 10-12 knots but has been clocked at 17.4 knots. Includes depth sounder and horn, plus regulation towing lights. See her complete history at www.stanardboatworks.com. Delivery available within the state of Florida for tolls and gas; contact seller for delivery outside of Florida. I imagine using it as a runabout, a cocktail launch, or for simple fishing trips. It is a perfect boat for taking a few friends out for a look around the harbor or (in my case) up the Miami River, where it can hob-knob with the real tugboats. Because it is stoutly built and well powered, you could use it for towing someone on a tube or a board. Its 20 mph speed allows a lot of diversity. If I still own her later this season, I will take a trip down the Florida Keys, spending the nights in motels along the way. Its original designed use by Sam Devlin in Seattle, WA, however, was as a utility craft for a small yacht yard or shipyard, going out to the moorings to pick up a boat and tow it back to the shop where work could be done. I also have used her as a chase boat during sailing races down in Key Largo.
